Honouring the life, legacy, and memory of Chief Barrister Oliver Chukwuma Igwe.
Daddy,
You were more than a father, you were my backbone, my greatest supporter, my teacher, and my guide.
You made sure I attended the best schools, sacrificed everything necessary for my education, and stood firmly behind me until I earned my Doctor of Optometry degree. You believed in me long before the world did. Because of your sacrifices, I became a CEO and a Senior Federal Civil Servant with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN).
Even after raising me, your love did not end there. You extended the same care, wisdom, and generosity to my children, making sure they enjoyed the best upbringing and education until your very last days. They were blessed to have you, and so was I.
Today, your absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Knowing I can no longer pick up the phone to hear your voice is a pain words cannot fully express. But I take comfort in knowing that you lived a life of honour, integrity, sacrifice, and purpose.
As your first son, I make this solemn promise before God, our family, and everyone who knew you: I will protect and build upon every legacy you left behind. I will ensure that your name continues to command honour and respect, and I will do everything within my power to keep your children united forever. That is the covenant I make with you today.
Thank you for believing in me, for standing by me, for praying for me, and for showing me what it means to be a man of honour.
Rest peacefully, Daddy.
You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.
Farewell, my backbone. Until we meet again.
Dear Grand Daddy,
I love you so much. You always loved me and took good care of me. You always spent your time working hard to bring money to take care of us. You also loved your four daughters and two sons so much.
Whenever we were going back home, you always gave us money to take care of ourselves. You always smiled and prayed for us, and that made me very happy.
Grand Daddy, I miss you so much. I wish I could see you again and give you a big hug. I promise I will always remember you and make you proud.
I know Jesus is taking good care of you in heaven. May Jesus bless you forever and ever. Amen.
I love you, Grand Daddy.

Daddy, l still find it difficult to accept the bitter truth that u are no more. You just left us unexpectedly and unprepared. I lack words to express my sorrowful mood, but l find solace in the scripture where we are told that there is time for everything: A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest( Ecc. 3:1) Since you have chosen this time, what can we do? other than to pray for the repose of your gentle soul. Daddy, "Jee ije gi nke oma" untill we meet again on the Resurrection morning. Adiue daddy Ijeoma. Adiue O.C Bobo. Adiue 'Okpe Udo 1 of Ohaji Ancient kingdom. Continue to rest in the Lord
To our friend and brother, Dr Ikenna and the Igwe family
With shock, we received the news of the sudden death of your beloved father, Barr O.C. Igwe. Words fail us in times like this. We had the privilege of knowing your beloved father since our childhood, and we all have fond memories of him.
As sacred scripture reminds us in the gospel of St John chapter 11 - I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
We take solace in the fact that your now late father knew this truth, and he taught same to you and your siblings. May this truth comfort you all in this trying time.
Take heart dear brother.

Tributes to my Dad
I don’t know why, but today I miss you more than usual.
Maybe because life feels heavy lately, and part of me just wants to hear your calm voice saying, “Don’t worry, I am okay.”
You were never one to say much, but your love… it was steady. Quiet. Unseen — but now I know, so real.
You didn’t show affection in big words or grand gestures, but in the way you stayed faithful to God, the way you sang, and the way you endured so much without ever making it about you.
Keep watching over us that left behind till meet to part no more Amen
Adieu Daddy m

A tribute to a beloved dad,a legal icon and a disciplinarian.
Dad, today I stand to honour a man who wore three crowns so well;
Father, legal icon and disciplinarian.
To us , you were dad.
Your home was your first courtroom and your greatest legacy.
You taught us that love us not just soft words, but showing up that provision is not just money, but presence.
In your lap we learnt how to pray.in your eyes we also learnt what integrity looks like.yuo were our first shelter, our first teacher and our safest place. The world may have known you as "Barrister"or "sir",but to us you were simply dad.the one who fixed what was broken, who prayed over us, and who made sure we never lacked.

I received with rude shock, the sudden demise of the patriarch of Igwe family, a seasoned lawyer of international repute, accomplished community and church leader, a great asset to the Ohaji community and Imo State in general.
I take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life of purpose and touched lives in so many ways.
Chief Barr Oliver Igwe was a great man whose legacies lives on even after his exit from this world.
I encourage my dear friend Dr Ikenna Igwe, his siblings, the Igwe family and the entire Ohaji to take heart and bear this irreparable loss with great fortitude.

My mentor
There is not enough time or words to express how much my father meant to me.
But if I had to say who he was in one sentence
I will say that dad was a great man of integrity
He always do the right thing even when it wasn’t popular or easy
He was a role model and mentor to me and many others
I will miss you dearly
